The Police is facing major challenges. The pressure on the organisation is increasing due to a tight labour market, rapidly changing social issues and political developments that continually influence the course. At the same time, the expectation remains that the Police can respond quickly and effectively to both national and local security issues, within the limits of limited resources and budgets.
To be prepared for this, it is crucial to not only reactively, but above all proactively manage staff deployment. The key question is: how do we ensure that the right people, with the right knowledge and skills, are available at the right time, today and in the future?
For the Police, Fesma developed an integral process for Strategic Personnel Planning, anchored in the business, information and IT architecture. The process provides structural anchoring at strategic, tactical and operational level within all police units. The planning looks ahead over a period of 0 to 5 years and is linked to rolling PDCA cycles (4, 8 and 12 months), with which Planning & Control, HR and management mechanisms are continuously fed and optimized.
This approach provides insight and improvement advice in the areas of required quantity (formation size), quality (knowledge, skills, abilities) and costs.
The collaboration led to a concrete and supported improvement
of the processes within the Police
Subscription: Based on two subscriptions a (€ 6,500), this can be achieved in 12 months.
